Cezars Kitchen Halal Policy

At Cezars Kitchen, being Halal compliant does not only mean we follow rules but take all possible efforts to ensure the purity of Halal is a way of life within our operations! Our teams work closely as we strive to ensure all aspects of the food, from sourcing the ingredients to preparation and serving are in accordance with the Sharia Law and guidelines provided by JAKIM (The Department of Islamic Development, Malaysia).

What is Halal Food?

Halal food encompass the following traits:

a. We never use any animals or ingredients impermissible to Muslims. For example, pork.

b. The food we serve does not contain any impurities.

c. No alcohol-based ingredients are used in our recipes.

d. Equipment that may be contaminated with impurities (Najis) is not used during the preparation of our food.

e. No cross-contamination or preparation of non-halal and halal food inside our kitchens.

Our Halal Assurance & Commitment

  1. All ingredients used including imported ingredients are 100 % Halal.
  2. Cleansing of all food, utensils & equipment is in accordance with Sharia law.
  3. Kitchen equipment and preparation areas are used exclusively for the preparation of Halal food.
  4. Halal Assurance System is set up and implemented.
  5. All cleaning and sanitizing products used are Halal compliant.
  6. Our team carefully screens and purchases high-quality Halal ingredients.
  7. Our dedicated Halal Committee members are trained in line with the expectations outlined by JAKIM.
  8. Halal-compliant hygiene practices are implemented as we clean, sanitize, and disinfect our kitchens.
  9. Food sampling is performed and collected daily.
  10. All our employees adhere to strict Halal hygiene practices.

The Head Office ensures that onsite operations are provided with adequate support and resources to successfully comply with all elements of this policy. All levels of leadership, management, and employees are expected to participate and support this policy. This is achieved by ensuring an environment fit for Halal food production, purchase of ingredients, and implementation of a Halal Assurance System.
